It is with a sad and heavy heart that this news is told. Our new dog Lucy died of cancer a couple of days ago. We knew she had had cancer and was in remission when we got her. What no one knew was it had come back with a vengeance. She died in my arms and is finally free to see and smell and run free in doggy heaven.

Vacationing!
I am having a fun vacation in Colorado this week. Getting lots of fresh air and coffee in my system, lol. I do miss my puppy and kitty who are having to rough it with sitters this week. Otherwise, they are being spoiled rotten! I will be opening my Etsy store back up after my vacation!

I Have a Dog!!!
A few years ago our beloved dog Friendly passed away. I have missed having a dog around terribly since then. I have a secret, I follow dogs and cats on Instagram. I've tried to stop longing for a puppy, really I have. But, one fateful day, Tilly Two Legs, a two legged cat, posted a picture about a blind dog with cancer and I fell in love right there. The rescue was in North Carolina, I live in Virginia, so I figured what's a few hundred miles, right? A flurry of emails ensued and somehow I was able to convince them they had my dog.
She is blind, sweet as can be and I am completely smitten! No Kitty loves her too! Now, having a blind dog isn't as bad as one might think. She has a stroller for long walks. I have to carry her up and down the stairs to go outside, I get my cardio in! She never barks and loves to be petted and snuggled on all the time. From what I was told she had spent her entire life chained to a concrete slab having puppies till she couldn't anymore so they threw her out on the street. When the rescue found her she weighed six pounds! I haven't got much stitching, cleaning or anything else done since bringing her home. She is worth it!!!!
